HOW DO I APPLY TO FOSTER OR ADOPT A DOG?
If you would like to foster or adopt a dog, or even do a foster to adopt process for a dog you can email us at allaboutthedogs2022@gmail.com, and you can also apply here on our website on the Applications page! Once you fill our that application we'll contact the references and then we'll be in touch with you!
WHAT IS FOSTERING TO ADOPT?
Fostering to adopt is a fantastic program that we run that effectively allows you to have a trial run with a dog. Don't let the wording fool you, we still take this very seriously. What happens is we set up a meet and greet with you, and as long as everything goes well, if you're still worried about certain aspects we allow you to foster the dog. Fostering to adopt is typically a month long period, but if you decide that you'd like to adopt the dog before then, then all you have to do is sign the adoption paperwork and send in the adoption fee. If it doesn't work out we simply move the dog into another foster or forever home, and try to help you figure out what dog would be best for you and your life style.
WHAT DOES MY DONATION DO?
What your donation does is it helps us to pay for the cost of transporting dogs from places like Texas, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and Georgia up here to Connecticut. It allows us to pay for vet bills, and helps us to take in dogs with medical conditions that put them at higher risk of being euthanized. It lets us buy and provide food, treats, crates, leashes, collars, toys, and any other supplies that our fosters may need to care for our dogs. Most importantly, your donation simply allows us to help, and save the lives, of more dogs.
